Birth: Jun. 22, 1965
Death: Oct. 25, 1967
DeSoto County
Florida, USA

James Richardson, Jr. died from poisoning in a meal of beans and rice laced with pesticide. The meal was allegedly prepared for him by his father, an uneducated migrate worker, but served to her by a babysitter. He was the son of James Joseph Richardson and mother Annie Mae. A combined family of Richardson and wife Annie Mae's children, there were one son and six daughters with ages ranging from 2 to 8 years old. A more than twenty-year long court case, which involved then Miami State Attorney Janet Reno, lead to the 1989 release of Richardson after he was found guilty earlier of the murdering the seven children. "Reasonable doubt" was proven in 1989. And, Richardson's case remains in court for another twenty years attempting to have a financial settlement with the State of Florida for his imprisonment. It has now become a case of defining of the word "innocence". As for little innocent James, Jr. and his six sisters, they were MURDERED, and their only settlement were graves in this rural Florida cemetery.
