Mrs. Bertha Reeves of Hartman, Arkansas, died Saturday, December 25, 1999, at Countryside Manor Nursing Home. Mrs. Reeves was 81 years old. She was a member of the 1st Baptist Church of Coal Hill and was a "senior companion" for the Area Agency on Aging. Mrs. Reeves was also a retired employee of the poultry processing plant nearby. Mrs. Reeves was preceded in death by her parents, William David & Lottie Jane Ponder Self; her beloved husband, George W. Reeves; as well as her son, William David Reeves. She is survived by her daughter, Janice Nauheimer of Hartman, Arkansas; 3 grandchildren: Patrick and Mark Nauheimer, both of Arlington, Virginia and Cathie Bailey of Brandon, Mississippi; 4 great-grandchildren; other relatives; and many dear friends. Funeral service was held on Wednesday morning, December 29, 1999, at the Coal Hill First Baptist Church with Rev. David Qualls officiating. Pallbearers were Bently Yates, Larry Marvel, Paul L. Walker, Eugene Scarberry, Larry Robertson and Kermit Warren.
