Mrs. Anna Reed
Mrs. Anna Reed, daughter of Frank and Sarah Lake was born March 28, 1875 in Madison county, Iowa and passed away June
29, 1960, in Lincoln, Nebraska at the age of 85 years and three months.
She was united in marriage to Dean W. Reed on June 5, 1895. To this union three children were born.
Surviving relatives are her daughter, Mrs. Opal Closner of Lincoln, Nebraska, daughter in-law, Mrs. Esther Hull, Osceola, Iowa, nine grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren and nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Preceding her in death were her husband, daughter, Ede Sayre, son Denzel, and one grandson, Dean Sayre.
She joined the Christian church early in life, later transferring her membership to the Methodist church in New Virginia.
Mrs. Reed has lived in Madison and Warren counties most of her life. However, she has lived with her daughter in Lincoln, Nebraska for the past four years.
Anna, as her friends and neighbors knew her, was a true wife, loving mother, and a friend and neighbor to all.
