She graduated from high school in Ritzville, Washington as well. In 1945, she married Sherman "Red" Norby in Washington. They moved to Kalispell in 1946. They had two sons, Ray and Rand. They divorced in 1960.
She was a tailor her entire life and enjoyed it immensely. She worked for Torgerson's and Taylor, Roe & Jean Factory as well as various other businesses in the Kalispell area that employed tailors. She eventually worked out of her own home and did so until she was in her late 80's. She loved to golf and walked every day until she was 85 as well as helping take care of great grandchildren. She made it to every sporting event and dance recital her grandkids participated in.
She was very involved in the Lutheran Church, was a den mother for the scouts for both of her sons, involved in the PTA, and in Church Women United.
She was preceded in death by both her parents and her brother Virgil.
