William A Mount, 67, of 70 Colbly Avenue, died yesterday at Point Pleasant Hospital after a short illness.
He was the owner operator of Mount's Taxi Service for the past eight years.
Mr Mount was born here and a life long resident. He was a member of the First Methodist Church, here.
He was a member of the Volunteer Engine Company 2, and was a member of the state and local Exempt Fioreman's Association. He was a charter member of the Manasquan First Aid Squad.
During World War I he served with the Navy.
Surviving are his widow Mrs Mary Fitzner Mount; three daughters, Mrs Peggy Ann Callahan, Portland, Ore; Mrs Dorothy Fairchild, Brick Township, and Miss Anita I Mount, at home; a brother Britten C Mount, Wall Township and three grandchildren.
Her full name was Dorothy Virginia Mount. She married Richard John Fairchild March 25, 1963 in Vance County, North Carolina.
