Funeral servies will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, June 7, 1995 at Evangeline Memoial Gardens Chapel for Tilben J. Menard, 59 who died at 5:18 a.m. Tuesday, June 6, 1995 at his residence in Vatican.
Interment will be in Evangeline Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
The Rev. Monsignor Charles Mallet, pastor of St. John Berchman Church in Cankton, will officiate. Musical selections will be provided by Tony Broussard.
A native of Cankton and a resident of Carencro for most of his life, Mr. Menard was a parishioner of St. John Berchman Church.
Mr. Menard was owner/ operator of Tilben's Bar in Vatican.
Survivors include; his wife, the former Angela Faye Breaux of Vatican; three sons, Karl Menard and Gregory Menard, both of Scott, and Michael Shane Castille of Vatican; two daughters, Cynthia Menard of Lafayette and Phyllis Mabry of Carencro; eight grand-children; his mother, Needia Kilchrist Menard of Carencro; and 10 brothers, Carroll, John Ear and Patrick Menard, all of Carencro, Elwood Menard of Sunset, Ravis Menard of Ville Platte, Emery Menard of Rayne, Darrell Menard and Evril Menard, Jr. both of Ossun.
He was preceded by his father, Evril Menard, Sr., and a brother, Lynus Menard.
Pallbearers will be: John Menard, Shane Castille, Andry Duplantis, Gregory,Karl and Earl Menard.
Honorary pallbearers are: Carroll Menard, Pat Richard Thomas Mabry and Calvin Bourque.
A Rosary will be recited 7 p.m. Tuesday.
Visiting hours started Tuesday and will continue Wednesday, June 7, until time of services.
The Melancon Funeral Home, Evangeline Memorial Gardens Cemetery Chapel, 4117 St. Joseph Street, Carencro is in charge of arrangements.
