Miss Lucy Lyon, 68, who operated a farm on route 3, across from Silver Creek
park, died this morning at Holy Family hospital following a lingering illness.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Pfeffer funeral home,
the Rev. John Walker officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery. Friends
may call at the funeral home after 2 p.m. Tuesday.
Miss Lyon was born in Michigan in 1880. Twenty-six years ago she purchased the
Wilhelmy farm on South 10th street, owned by her grandparents, the late Mr. and
Mrs. Henry Wilhelmy. She had operated the farm and also supplied local florists
with delphiniums and peonies which she grew in her large flower gardens.
Survivors are 17 cousins.
