NANCY LUCKOW

Nancy C. Luckow, age 62, of 1836 S. 35th St., Manitowoc, died Sunday evening, Nov. 6, 2005, at St. Mary's Home at the Felician Village, Manitowoc. She was born Aug. 19, 1943, in Sheboygan, daughter of the late Harold and Lorraine Johann Mueller. Nancy was a graduate of Sheboygan South High School, class of 1961. On Sept. 28, 1963, she married Kenneth E. Luckow in Sheboygan. On Oct. 26, 1968, she was baptized as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the church in numerous positions, having a positive influence on many friends, relatives and family. She was a past relief society president, primary teacher, young women counselor, visiting teacher, pianist, music conductor, family history consultant for the Green Bay Stake and other positions throughout her life. In the community as a volunteer, she was past secretary of the Manitowoc County Genealogical Society. From 1992-2003 (11 years), she was the program director for the Manitowoc Sunday suppers. She was a volunteer den leader for the cub scout program. In 1994, she received the Outstanding Volunteer Award in girl scouting which lasted 25 years. She held many volunteer positions as a leader at Manitou Council Day Camp; neighbor cookie chairman; equipment manager and other committee positions. She was actively involved with the boy scout program for many years. She successfully fulfilled her life by helping and serving others in need. She lived an exemplary life of service, always showing love and kindness to all she met. Nancy celebrated her life in many capacities. The one that she treasured the most was her love for her family. Survivors include her husband: Kenneth E. Luckow, Manitowoc; a son: Keith Luckow, Manitowoc; a daughter and son-in-law: Terry and Michael Brocher, Two Rivers; a grandson: Josh Neumeyer; an aunt: Marcella Gross, Sheboygan; and a sister-in-law: JoAnn Fenlon, Francis Creek. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Nancy was also preceded in death by a brother-in-law: Donald Luckow and her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Elmer and Evelyn Luckow. The family will greet relatives and friends at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Manitowoc, from 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, until the time of service at 11:30 a.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, 2005, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Manitowoc. Officiating at the service will be Bishop Maurice D. Jones with burial at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc. The Pfeffer Funeral Home & Cremation Care Center, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements. The family wishes to express their gratitude to all those who extended care and support to Nancy, especially the staff at St. Mary's Home.
