He graduated from the University of Cincinnati with a degree in Criminal Justice and was commissioned through the ROTC program into the United States Army. He is a Major with the 2nd Brigade 25th ID out of Schofield Barracks, Hawaii. While in the military he served one tour in 2004 in Afghanistan and his second tour in 2006 in Iraq. He was a jumpmaster, rigger and was an aide-de-camp for General Mangual.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Genevieve L. Kuhn; aunt, Judy Crist and uncle Dennis Yingling. Survivors include his parents... brother... sisters... grandparents... and his beloved dogs, Bowie and KD "Kuhn Dog". There are numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends that will miss him dearly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday at 10 a.m. in St. Paul's Catholic Church in North Canton with Rev. Msgr. James A. Clarke as Celebrant. Interment with military honors will be in Sunset Hills Memory Gardens. Calling hours will be held Friday from 1-3 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. in the Reed Funeral Home North Canton Chapel, 801 Pittsburg Ave. N.W. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to the American Cancer Society or the Stark County Humane Society."
