Reginald joined the Royal Air Force early in the war.
He married Iris Mary Allsop in 1939, the marriage was registered in Southam, Warwickshire.
Reginald was at the Lockheed Aircraft Factory, in Leamington Spa, when it was bombed on the 16th July 1942. He was injured in the air raid, and was taken to the Warneford Hospital, Leamington Spa, where he died later that day. He was one of four men who died that day as a result of the air raid on the Lockheed factory. They are commemorated on a plaque (pictured left) next to Leamington's War Memorial.
Reginald had been a sidesman at St. Lawrence's Church, and for many years was also a bell-ringer. He was known to be a good tennis player and cricketer.
Reginald died aged 32.
