Mrs. Sam Kelly 79, Laid To Rest
Tuesday, July 23
Passed Away Sunday After a Brief Illness. Funeral held at the Home of Daughter
Mrs. Samuel Kelly, a resident of Denison since 1884, died at her home at Sweet and Vine streets Sunday, July 21st, after a brief illness, and at the age of 79 years, 6 months and 3 days.

Funeral services were held at the Henry Bosecker home on East Chestnut street Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock, Rev. Charles Stalker of Columbus, Ohio, officiating at the services. There was a large attendance of friends and acquaintances. Interment took place in Oakland Cemetery.

Mary Anna Bachovitch, daughter of George and Catherine Bachovitch, was born in Youngstown, Pennsylvania, January 15, 1856. In the spring of 1869 she came with her family to Frankfort, Kansas, where they settled on Mission Creek. October 19, 1874, she was united in marriage to Samuel Martin Kelly at Marysville, Kansas. About a year later they moved to Morrison, Illinois, where they lived until 1884, when they came to Iowa. They farmed in Crawford County for several years and later moved to Denison. Mr Kelly departed this life in 1930.

To Mr and Mrs Kelly were born eight children, one of whom, Edna Minnie, passed away in 1918, at Elm Creek, Nebraska. Those remaining are: Edward Martin of Chicago, Illinois, Mrs. Catherine Barber of Elm Creek, Nebraska, Mrs. Bertha Harrison of Grand Island, Nebraska, Mrs. Edith Fisher of Hawk Springs, Wyoming, Mrs. Mabel Laub, Ralph M. Kelly and Mrs. Ruby Bosecker of Denison. There are also four brothers, George, Edward and Dan Bachovitch of Beattie, Kansas, and Frank Bachovitch of Fairbury, Nebraska, ten grandchildren and other relatives and many friends.

Mrs. Kelly was a truly Christian woman. Her many acts of kindness were without number, and she will be remembered by scores of people who in time of need were relived owing to her goodness.
