Denise was born in Mineral Wells, Texas, on 7 Nov 1959, the first of two daughters of Dennis Ray Judd and Virginia Sue Storm. She died at the age of 15 from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Stephens County.
Her maternal grandparents were Leroy "Buddy" Storm and Thyrza Lavina Mitchell. Her paternal grandparents were JR Judd and Margaret Elizabeth Moore. She had one sister, Penny Lee, who is five years younger.
She remains in the hearts of her family, who love and miss her very much. Our grandmother spoke so fondly of her often. My dad (her uncle) always said Denise was his buddy. They were six years apart and reportedly shared the goofy sense of humor I know from him. I was two when she died, and I wish I'd had the chance to grow up with her. Penny says Denise was an awesome sister.
