Eddie 'Flappers', of El Llano, passed away from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was predeceased by his brother Nick 'Spook' Gallegos; grandparents Fidel Martinez, Benito Espinoza, and Julian & Trinidad Gallegos.

Eddie was survived by his wife Betty Gallegos of El Llano; daughter Theresa Gallegos of El Llano; son Edward Gallegos of El Llano; parents Jose Medardo and Teresa Gallegos of Rio Chama; siblings: Gilbert Gallegos (wife Germana) of Rio Chama, Manuel Gallegos (wife Marina) of El Guache, Michael Gallegos, Carlos Gallegos (wife Melissa), Sadie Martinez (husband Luis), Donna Gallegos, Ray Gallegos (wife Margaret), Jackie Gallegos and Diane, all of Rio Chama, and Bill Martinez (wife Trinnie) of Ranchitos; sister-in-law Jo Ann Gallegos and her son Antonio of El Guache; father-in-law and mother-in-law Gene and Rosina Lopez of Lyden; sister-in-law Theresa Lopez of Lyden; grandmothers: Adelina Martinez of Rio Chama and Tita Espinoza of El Llano; godparents Felipe and Bernie Valdez, and Cirilo Martinez; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Memorial Mass was at Santa Cruz de la Cañada. Burial followed in the Holy Cross Cemetery.
