The Winn family immigrated to Utah Territory with the Henry Bryant Manning Jolley Company. It departed Kanesville, Iowa 15 June 1852, and arrived at Salt Lake City 15 September 1852.
Jane married Arthur McArthur Foster in Utah, where she had her first child, Elizabeth, in 1854.
By the 1860 census Arther and Jane had moved to Solano County, California. Arthur died in 1864 and Jane married his brother Charles A. Foster in 1865. They moved to Wichita, Kansas by 1883. After Charles' death Jane moved to El Reno, Oklahoma by 1910 census.
Jane Winn Foster died in the home of her son Thomas at 513 W. Cobb, El Reno, Canadian County, Oklahoma on 12 December, 1911.
