Charles Dale "Charlie" Eubank, 83, of Whitney, passed away on Sunday, March 25, 2012, in Waco. Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at 10 a.m. at Marshall and Marshall Funeral Directors Chapel in Whitney with Rev. Mike Kerzee, officiating. Visitation will be 7 to 9 p.m. on Tuesday, March 27, 2012. Burial will follow at Whitney Memorial Park.

Charlie was the son of the late Charlie Lon and Vera (Callaway) Eubank. He was in the farming and ranching business for most of his life. He owned and operated Bonanza Discount Center for 17 years. After his retirement Charlie worked for Eubank Drug as delivery man. He was well known to the people of the Whitney community always greeting folks downtown from his favorite bench in front of Relics. Charlie enjoyed tending and working with his cattle very much and treated them more like pets than livestock. He was a friend to all. Charlie was a member of King Memorial United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Rex Eubank.

Survivors include his wife, Gwen Eubank, of Whitney; sons, Dale Eubank and wife, Julie of Corpus Christi, and Kent Eubank and wife, Susan, of Whitney; grandchildren, Kara Richardson and husband, Randall, of Houston, Lindsey Simmons and husband, Justin, of Houston, Anne Eubank, of Houston, Miranda Eubank, of Corpus Christi, Carter Eubank, of Waco, Cameron Eubank, of Waco, TX; four great-grandchildren, Will Richardson, Charles Richardson, James Simmons, and Lucy Simmons, all of Houston; brother, Billy Ray Eubank and wife, Carol, of Whitney; sister, Betty Rader and husband, Richard, of Wellsville, Kansas; many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends in the Whitney and surrounding communities.
