ss Lydia Margaret

Samuel A Cunningham one of the best known and most highly esteemed men in Tippecanoe county, died at 8:30 o’clock last night at his home, 1424 Virginia Street. His decline began last Thanksgiving, but his condition did not become serious until two weeks ago. His demise is attributed to the infirmities of age. Deceased was born near Madison, November 3, 1831, and two years later his parents moved to Montgomery county. Mr Cunningham obtained an ordinary education in the country schools and taught school for several years. He then engaged in farming and followed that occupation until 1906, when he came to this city. He lived for sixty-four years on a farm near Stockwell. He was a practical man and was progressive. The farm on which he lived so long in Lauramie township was brought to a high state of cultivation by his industry and skill. Mr Cunningham was a man of high principles and his integrity was never questioned.
