VULCAN FUNERAL HOME - OBIT EXCERPTS
Campbell, Nora Elizabeth (Nee: Collier) passed away May 5, 2015 at Lethbridge, Alberta at the age of 93 years.

Nora was born at Vulcan, Alberta on August 25, 1921 to Godfrey (Joe) and Violet Collier. The daughter of a pioneer merchant and harness maker remembered the times of playing with kitchen utensils in the ditch dirt beside the street in front of the house. Nora married her school sweet heart, the love of her life, Stuart Campbell on November 21, 1941. Nora worked as a teller at the Bank of Commerce and then as a stenographer for the R.C.A.F. in Claresholm. During the years that Stuart was with the Air force, Nora and Stuart lived in Calgary and St. Thomas, Ontario with a final posting to Lethbridge. Moving back to Vulcan, after Stuart’s discharge is when Nora’s life as a farm wife began. Many hardships were over come as Nora became a devoted farmer’s wife. Learning to drive truck in harvest time among them and knowing she would never get fired for the things she did wrong. Buying land of their own, they moved to the Eastway district, North of Vulcan. Here Nora was active with the Eastway Ladies Club

Survived by 2 daughters, 2 sons, 4 grandchildren & 2 great-grandchildren

Nora was predeceased by her parents Godfrey “Joe” and Violet Collier, brothers Russell (Blanche) and Albert (Pat) Collier, sister Ruby (Nels) Jamison and beloved husband Stuart Campbell.
