"William N. is a brother to Bert Case. He was born in Mecca, May 7, 1839. His father was Solomon V. Case, a native of Conn. William N. was the youngest child of his father's first marriage.

"William N. was reared on his father's farm. He had engaged in farming all his life. His farm consisted of 100 acres of Mecca's choicest soil. He devoted his farming chiefly to stock raising. His two-story residence with its spacious porch, was located 20 rods back from the highway, and it presented somewhat the appearance of a Southern home.

"Mr. Case was married, Dec 24. 1890 to Miss Rebecca Kier. She was born in Indiana County, Penna., the daughter of James and Jane Holstein Kier, both natives of Penna. Her parents had 7 children; Margaret Kier, Sarah McCracken, Rebecca Case, Mary, Arabella, Samuel, and William. Mrs. Case's father was a saddler and harness maker by trade."
