BATESVILLE- R.V. Burt, 81, died Sunday, Jan. 2, 2005, at Tri-Lakes Medical Center of heart failure.
Services were Wednesday at Locke Station Baptist Church. Rev. Eugene Howell and Rev. Larry Kilgore officiated. Burial was in Crowder Cemetery. Wells Funeral Home had charge.
Burt, born March 16, 1923, to the late Everett Franklin and the late Mary Skinner Burt, of Drew was retired after 35 years with I.C. & G Railroad , was a member of Walnut Baptist Church, and he served in the U.S. Army in World War II.
Survivors include his wife Irene Ray Burt of Batesville; three daughters, Patsy Burt Bruner of Madison, Sharlene "Sholly" Burt Ware of Richland and Darlene "Dolly" Burt Calvert of Crowder; two sons, Dale Burt and Garry Adams, both of Richland; one sister Mary Maude Loftis of Marks; 22 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
