"I've been going through 1919 death certificates in KY and came across what looks like not one but two death certificates for G. L. Buckner in two different counties. His death date is listed as 12 July 1919 instead of 17 July on both death certificates."
One dc (Lee Co KY) lists:

died on passenger train between Jackon, (Breathitt Co) KY & Beattyville, (Lee Co) KY

Phoebe is still in Pulaski Co., KY in 1900 but moved out west to Oklahoma and living with her son John and his family in 1910. She died there and is buried in the Savanna Cem. in Pittsburg Co., OK. (FAG - 34193113).
It looks like Gilbert Lafayette might have remarried after his wife's death in 1917 since both dc's lists he was married at the time of his death. His next of kin is listed as his daughter Edna on his WWI Draft registration dated 12 Sep 1918. His birth is listed as 1 July 1877. If he did remarry, it was a very short lived marriage.
