Aaron. G. Braun, age 88, a life-long resident and area farmer from Ritzville, passed away Wednesday Dec. 29, 2004 at the Life Care Center in Rtizville. He was the son of Henry P. Braun and Katherine (Schoessler) Braun and was born Feb. 22, 1916 at the Thiel ranch near Ritzville. He attended Willis country school, later graduated from Ritzville High School in 1934. Worked at the Richfield and Union Service stations in Ritzville, as a carpenter at Farragut Naval Base, at Bayview, Idaho and Larsen Air Force Base in Moses Lake before beginnig a career in farming. Aaron married Florence Schafter on April 20, 1939 in Ritzville. From 1943 to 1945 Aaron worked for area farmers, but in 1945 he leased farm graoud and in 1966 they purchase the Henry C. Schafer ground and in 1968 purchased the H. P. Braun farmer combinging both his and his wife's family farms. In 1971 he incorporated the farm to the B and B Farms. Preceded in death by a son, Dale, in 1944, his wife of 50 years, Florence in 1898 and by five brothers and four sisters.

Surviving is his daughter Kae Koch and husband Harold of Chehalis and a son, David Braun and wife Clara of Ritzville,; a brother Howard Braun of Deer Park; two granchildren and four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was a member of the Philadelphia Congregational Church, the Washington State Grange and the Washington State Association of Wheat Growers.

Funeral services will be held January 4, 2005 at 1 p.m. Zion-Philadelphia Congreagational Church, Ritzville with Pastor Sandra Sparks officiating. Interment will take place at Ritzville Memorial Cemetery.
