According to the 1900 United States Census (https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:MMVZ-1FW), as of June 5, 1900 Charlotte was 77 years old, had six living adult children, and was living with her son Edward and his family at 603 West Second Street in Merrill, WI. Edward immigrated to America in 1890 and Charlotte immigrated in 1893.

Munchen, sailing from the port of Bremen on May 11, 1893 and arriving at the port of Baltimore on May 23, 1893. At this time she was a widow and her last residence was Lietzow, Pomerania, Prussia.
