Pearl R. (Karns) Bishop, 82, of Mechanicsburg passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2005, at Holy Spirit Hospital.

Mrs. Bishop was born in Dillsburg June 25, 1922. She was the daughter of the late Moses J. and Nora (Stoner) Karns.

She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Mechanicsburg. Pearl was active in the Mechanicsburg Senior Adult Center and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 109.

She was the widow of Earnest Martin and Charles B. Bishop.

She is survived by a daughter, Barbara, wife of William Albert of Mechanicsburg; and one son, Charles R., husband of Delores Bishop of Mechanicsburg; a granddaughter, Amy L. Albert; and two grandsons, Stephen D. Bishop and Charles L. Bishop; one brother, John, husband of Verna Karns of Newville; one sister-in-law, Goldie Karns of Mechanicsburg; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister-in-law, Fred and Barbara and Paul Karns.

Funeral services will be held at the Myers Funeral Home, 37 E. Main St., Mechanicsburg, Thursday, Feb. 17, at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Elmer Kipe officiating. Burial will be in Mechanicsburg Cemetery, Mechanicsburg.

Viewing will be Thursday, from 10 to 11 a.m., at Myers Funeral Home.
