Helen Walterine Zaydel Wise, 84, of New Kensington, died Tuesday (Jan. 20, 2004) in the emergency room of Allegheny Valley Hospital, Harrison.
Born Feb. 24, 1919, in New Kensington, she lived there all her life.
She and her husband operated Wise Nursery and Greenhouse, New Kensington, for 56 years before she retired in 2003.
Mrs. Wise was a member of Greater Outreach Church, Monroeville.
She enjoyed spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband of 66 years, William C. Wise; and four sons, William A. (Helen) Wise and Jeffery J. Wise, both of Greensburg, Hurd H. (Marilyn) Wise of Plum and Noel J. (Penny) Wise of New Jersey.
She also is survived by five grandchildren, Jeffery, Natalie, Stacy, Heather and Megan Wise.
She was preceded in death by a son, Cornell E. Wise; her parents, Albert and Caroline Wajs Zaydel; two brothers, August W. and Henry Zaydel; and a sister, Josephine F. Haser.
Friends will be received after 7 p.m. today and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday in RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURRELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Road at Alder Street, where services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rev. Gerald Amoroso will officiate. Burial will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell.
