CAROL L. ZELLERS, 77 LEAF RIVER - Carol L. Zellers, 77, of Leaf River, died Sunday, September 7, 2014, after a short illness, at her friends home, surrounded by her family. She was born January 18, 1937, in Louisville, KY; the daughter of Victor and Thelma (Hibbs) Dollinger. She moved to Mt. Morris, IL in the 1940's where she graduated from high school. She then became a graduate of St. Anthony's School of Nursing, and spent her entire life taking care of others. She was employed at Neighbors Rehabilitation & Living Center in Byron for many years. Carol married Keith Zellers on October 14, 1977, and spent the rest of her life in the Leaf River area. Survivors include her husband, Keith; children, Jackie Bush, Vickie Kump, Cathy Rahm, and Joseph Hosier; siblings, Martha (Richard) Hosier, Tommy (Pat) Dollinger, Marion Walkner, Linda (Stuart) Baumblatt, and Brenda (Wayne) Warren; and sister by heart, Debbi Hazzard. She was preceded in death by her parents and son, Michael Hosier. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Sept. 12, 2014, in the Farrell-Holland-Gale Funeral Home, 506 W. Merchant St., Byron, with Rev. Msgr. Robert J. Sweeney officiating. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
