Raye Wataere Croxen, 70, Northwood Manor, Halifax, formerly of Brooklyn, Queens County, died Tuesday, April 18, 2000, in the QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax. Born in Liverpool, she was a daughter of the late Irene Elizabeth Young. She worked a number of years as a housekeeper. She was a member of St. Andrew's Anglican Church, choir, and the Ladies Church Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing ceramics and knitting. Surviving are sons, John, Brooklyn; Ernest, Beach Meadows; three grandchildren; sister, Patricia Walcott, Toronto; brother, David, Sydney. She was predeceased by her husband, Raymond; brother, Dennis. Visitation 7-9 p.m. today, in Chandlers' Funeral Home, Liverpool. Funeral 10 a.m. Saturday in St. Andrew's Anglican Church, Brooklyn, Rev. Beverly DeVouge officiating. Burial in Trinity Anglican Cemetery, Liverpool. Family flowers only. Donations to St. Andrew's Church General Fund or any charity.
