Betty "Nanny" Young Barrier, age 69, of Marion, N.C. died, Monday, July 26, 2010 at her residence.
Mrs. Barrier was born August 27, 1940 in McDowell County, and was a daughter of the late Elbert and May Epley Young.
She was a member of Faith Mission Baptist Church. She will be remembered by her family as a loving wife, mother, grand and great grandmother.
Preceding Mrs. Barrier in death was a son, Jeffery Lee Barrier. Jeffery Lee Barrier
Saddened by the loss of Mrs. Barrier are her husband of 52 years, Charles W. Barrier, of the home; three children: Karen Frisbee, Kathy Bright and Ricky Barrier, all of Marion; three brothers: C. B., Kenny and Wayne Young; three sisters: Brenda, Janette and Tootie; ten grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren.
Interment will be in Zion Hill Baptist Church Cemetery.
