Violet Drucilla Young was born on May 22, 1916 in Sequoyah County, Oklahoma to Isaac P. & Rosa (Montgomery) Howell. She passed from this life on March 6, 2007 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 90 years, 9 months & 12 days.

Violet was a well-respected resident of the Bixby community for many years. She will be remembered as a loving and devoted homemaker and many will also remember her for the years she worked at their service station with her husband and son. Some of her favorite hobbies included fishing, bowling and working in her flower gardens.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Young on January 16, 1984 as well as by 8 siblings.

She is survived by one son; four sisters and brother-in-law, two Step-Grandsons, three Step-Great-Grandsons; three great-nieces that she helped raise; one great-nephew; one great-great niece and a host of other nieces, nephews, other relatives and good friends.
