Obituary

Graveside funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Forrest Cemetery for Betty Jo (Yother) Hill, 78, Gadsden, who died Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010. The Revs. Craig Carlisle and Lem Lockmiller will officiate. Collier-Butler Funeral and Cremation Services directing.
Mrs. Hill was a graduate of Emma Sansom High School, a member of Forrest Avenue Cumberland Presbyterian Church, and was retired from Gadsden Regional Medical Center with 20 years of service. Mrs. Hill also served administratively for many years at Westbrook (Westminster) Christian School.
Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, William A. (Billy); parents, Luther and Esther Naylor Yother; brothers, Willis (Wink), Grady (Freck), Arlin and Calvin Yother.
She is survived by her son, William Gregory (Kristi) Hill; grandson, William Cooper Hill; granddaughter, Vivian Hathaway Hill; special sisters- and brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.
Her nephews Jeff, Steve, Mike, David, Al and Barry Yother will serve as pallbearers.
Special thanks to Dr. Thompson, Dr. Sirna, Dr. Kaplan, Dr. Echeverri and staff, Advanced Home Care, Hospice of Marshall County and St. Mary's Hospice of Athens, Ga.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Scleroderma Foundation, the Cumberland Presbyterian Children's Home or the charity of your choice.
