Mrs. Averill was employed by the New Franklin Laundry and was a member of the Grace Methodist Church, the choir and WSCS of the church, and of Bangor Grange.
She is survived by two sons, Richard N. Averill of Bangor and Walter B. Averill of Elizabeth City, N.C.; and seven grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Clark-Mitchell Funeral Home, 299 Union Street. Friends may call at the funeral home this afternoon from 2 to 4 o'clock and this evening from 7 to 9 o'clock.
