Mr. Donell Lewis York, age 83, of Columbia, Kentucky passed away on Friday, March 14, 2014 at the Taylor Regional Hospital in Campbellsville, Kentucky. He was born in Cumberland County, Kentucky on Tuesday, September 2, 1930, the son of Elver and Iva Morrison York. He was a construction worker for Gaddie Shamrock. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Odell York, Jimmy York and Jerry York. He is survived by his wife, Martha Jane Dyer York of Burkesville, Kentucky, his son and daughter-in-law, Stevie Joe and Marcella York of Columbia, Kentucky, his sisters and brothers-in-law, Lou Bell and William Veatch and Betty Jo and Butch Wheatley, all of Campbellsville, Kentucky, his grandchildren, Stephanie Brewer and Louis York, his step-grandchildren, Christie, Joey and Kenny, his great-grandchildren, Emma, Danie, Molly, Sam and Zack and his step-great-granddaughter, Abby. Funeral services for Donell Lewis York will be held on Monday, March 17, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Memory Chapel of Norris-New Funeral Home with Bro. Don Taylor officiating. Burial will be in the White Hill Cemetery in Cumberland County, Kentucky. The family will receive friends after 6:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 16, 2014 until the funeral hour on Monday.
