Helen Y. Gordon, 79, a Millbrook native, died Wednesday, Nov. 9, in Red Bank, NJ, after a long illness. Mrs. Gordon had been a registered nurse at the Riverview Medical Center for 35 years, retiring in 1962. She was born Oct 11, 1909, in Millbrook, to Bruce and Anna Birdsall Yerks. Her husband, George Gordon, died in 1981. She is survived by two sons, Robert B. Gordon of Little Silver, NJ., and George A. Gordon III of Millerton; two daughters, Virginia G. Jermer of Cayuga (Cayuga County) and Jeanne Gordon of Eatontown; a sister, Emily Mack of St Petersburg, Fla.; and nine grandchildren.
