Verna R. Edwards, formerly of Wind Gap, died February 17, 2010 in Topton Lutheran Home, Topton, PA. Born in Washington Township, PA, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Jennie Miller Yeisley. She was the wife of Arlo W. Edwards who passed away in 2001.
Verna was a member of St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Plainfield Township.
She is survived by three sons, Arthur and his wife Lorraine of Gettysburg, Rolin and his wife Marianne of Tafton, PA, and William of Centreville, VA; one daughter, Marie Rissmiller and her husband Dean of Fogelsville; one brother, Kenneth Yeisley of Bangor, six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one niece; and one nephew. She was predeceased by one grandchild.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 1, 2010 in St. Peter's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1422 Church Rd, Pen Argyl, PA 18072. Relatives and friends are invited to call 10:00 a.m. until time of service in the church. Burial will follow in Wind Gap Cemetery.
