Mrs. Ellen Ayers, widow of Daniel Ayers, 85 years, passed away on Saturday after an illness of several weeks caused by a fall in her home. Mrs. Ayers was born in May 1841, the daughter of Warren and Catherine Yeaton of Epsom and a lifelong resident of the town. Since the death of her husband, Mrs. Ayers has lived alone in the residence which she occupied more than sixty years. In former years, Mrs. Ayers was an attendant at the Old Congregational church Her courageous disposition and sensible character were admired by the friends who had known her many years. Mrs. Ayers is survived by two brothers, Alvah L. Yeaton of Epsom and John Yeaton of Concord, also by several nephews and nieces. Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon and burial was in McClary cemetery by undertaker John H. Perkins.
