Mrs. Freeze was born October 4, 1935 in Page County to the late John Henry and Grace Brown Yager. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by two brothers and two sisters.
In 1957 she moved with her husband to Northern Virginia, where she retired from Paktron in Vienna. She was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, gardening, flowers, hummingbirds and butterflies. Many people enjoyed the beauty of her creations and flower garden.
On March 7, 1954 she married, Raymond Freeze who survives. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Tony A. Freeze, Sr. and wife Melissa of Elkton, Sharon K. Freeze and companion, Donna Hensley of Elkton, Larita F. Freeze of Alexandria and Shelby D. Allen and husband, Danny of Sutton County, West Virginia; a sister, Shirley Hensley and husband, Henry of Elkton; five grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held 2:00 Saturday December 29, 2012 at the Kyger Funeral Home Chapel in Elkton with Chaplain Murphy Terry officiating. Burial will follow in the Elk Run Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 7 to 9 Friday evening at the funeral home in Elkton. Friends may also call at the Freeze home at anytime.
Special thanks are given to Legacy Hospice and also Donna Hensley, who was a caregiver and provided great comfort to the family for her care.
