Funeral for Mrs. Robert S. Brennand, 93, was conducted Saturday morning in First United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Brennand, a Mitchell County resident since early childhood, died Thursday, in Root Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
Reverend Billy Wilkinson, pastor of First United Methodist Church, officiated in final rites.
Burial was in Colorado City Cemetery under direction of Kiker and Son Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were A. R. Powell, James Stewart, W. L. Doss, J. O. Jarmon, Luke Thomas,
and Everett Stagner.
Born Florence Wulfjen March 23, 1877, in Brown County, she was the daughter of the later Mr. and Mrs. H. A. Wulfjen. She was married to the late Robert Brennand December 6, 19900, in Weatherford.
He was a longtime rancher in the county and served as postmaster here for 12 years before his death September 26, 1961. Mrs. Brennand was a member of First United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, R. S. Brennand, Jr. of Midland, and Harold D. Brennand of New Orleans, Louisiana; a daughter, Mrs. Jim Orr of Mansfield; two brothers, Walter Wulfjen of El Paso and Fred Wulfjen of Grapevine; a sister, Mrs. Sue Johnson of Abilene and two grandchildren.
