Floyd Curtis Wright, 62, of Staunton passed away Sunday, September 21, 2014 at his residence.
Mr. Wright was born December 11, 1951 in Staunton, a son of the late Floyd C. and Ruby (Masoncup) Wright.
Floyd grew up in Third Presbyterian Church in Staunton. He was a career truck driver for Reo Distribution, and was Driver of the Year in 2014. He enjoyed the outdoors and sharing meals with his family and friends.
Mr. Wright is survived by a son, Christian Wright and his companion April Peters and her daughter Alison Peters of Spottswood; two sisters, Mary W. McLear, and Kay W. Snyder and husband Boyd, all of Staunton; three nephews, Garland T. Eutsler, II and wife Carolynn Rubino of Stuarts Draft; Christopher D. Eutsler of Stuarts Draft, and Dennis W. Pierce and wife Debbie of Staunton; and his extended family at Reo Distribution.
The family will receive friends 6 – 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 23, 2014 at Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory.
A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 24, 2014 in Thornrose Cemetery by Pastor Jack Wilkers.
It is suggested that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of the Shenandoah, P.O. Box 215, Fishersville, Virginia 22939.
Coffman Funeral Home and Crematory, 230 Frontier Drive, Staunton is in charge of his arrangements.
