Gerald (Jerry) Thomas Wright, age 77, of Austin, passed away on November 27, 2012.

Jerry, the son of Raymond and Mary Eunice (Dillon) Wright, was born in Dallas, Texas on December 12, 1934. Jerry attended Sam Houston State University, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics. He also served in the United States Army from 1954 until 1957. He retired from a more than 40 year career in insurance. Jerry was a member of Anderson Mill Baptist Church.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, his infant daughters, Lucinda and Kimberly Wright, his daughter, Tanya Hope Wright, and his infant granddaughter, Annie Hope Wright. Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Bobbie Lee Wright of Austin; daughter, Tracee and husband David Moore of Butler, PA; son-in-law, Todd Lee of Lewisville; son, Troy and wife Jane Anne Wright of Cedar Park; granddaughter, Lillian Moore of Butler, PA; and grandson, Troy Alan Wright, II of Cedar Park.

Family and friends are invited to a visitation from 9:30 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Friday, November 30, 2012 at Cook-Walden Chapel of the Hills Funeral Home, 9700 Anderson Mill Road. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m. at Anderson Mill Baptist Church, 10633 Lake Creek Parkway, Austin. Interment with military honors will be held at Bagdad Cemetery in Leander.
