A resident of Baton Rouge and a native and former resident of Shreveport, Charlotte Worthington Friemel went to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at age 76. She was the wife of the late Charles Edward Friemel. While she lived in Shreveport, she was church secretary and a member of Springs of Grace Church. After making her home in Baton Rouge, she became a member of Florida Boulevard Baptist Church.
She is survived by a son, Chuck Friemel and wife Susan, Red Wing, Minn.; daughter, Cheryl Wells and husband John, Baton Rouge; sister, Sylvia Canon, Houston; brother, David Worthington and wife Ashley, Monroe; sister-in-law, Nancy Worthington, Centennial, Colo.; and aunt, Marguerite Boggs, Dallas. Her grandchildren are Chris Friemel and wife Ann, Craig Friemel and wife Brandy, Trey Friemel and wife Laura, and Juliette and Zachary Wells. She had four great-grandchildren and was expecting the arrival of a fifth in July. She also leaves many cousins, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her parents, Cliff and Vivian Worthington; and a brother, Charles "Buddy" Worthington. Memorial service celebrating her life held at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd.
