William E. Worden, 82, formerly county treasurer and druggist of Albion, died last Tuesday in the Blodgett Memorial Hospital, Grand Rapids, Mich. Born Dec. 3, 1852 in New York, at the age of 6 he came with his parents to Albion, where later he was engaged in the drug business for 21 years. About 30 years ago he moved to Grand Rapids where he has since made his home. His first wife, Katherine Mathews, died in 1903. In 1906 he married Mrs. Louise Waters of Grand Rapids, who with 3 sons and a daughter, all of the first marriage, survive. They are Leonard D. of Hollywood, Cal., Vernon W. of Long Beach, Cal., Edwin F. of South Bend, and Mrs. Grace A. Engle of Lakeside, Conn. Six grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren also survive. Funeral in Grand Rapids Friday.
