Spokesman-Review (WA), 9 April 1912. Obituary: Willow Creek, Mont.--Adolphus J. Woodward, one of the pioneers of the Willow creek valley, died March 31. Mr. Woodward was a native of Wisconsin. He taught school at Sparta, Wis., for several years and came to Montana in the latter part of the '70s, settling at Willow creek, where he made his home until the time of his death.

He was 53 years of age and is survived by his wife, four daughters, three sons, six sisters and a brother. The sons are Jean, Paul and Otto, and the daughters are Mrs. Tom Williams, Mrs. Hiram Williams, Mrs. Doherty and Nina, all residing at Willow creek. The sisters are Mrs. C.H. Crazier of Belgrade, Mrs. Jane Foster of Missoula, Mrs. Bertha Dowling of Sugar City, Idaho, Mrs. McCollum of Helena, Mrs. Harry Kinney and Mrs. Abbie C. Carter of Butte. Hiram Woodward of Spokane is a brother of the deceased.
