Service for Joseph Woodward will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Pullman Ward, Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, where he was a member. Burial will follow at Pullman City Cemetery.
Mr. Woodward died at Pullman Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, the day before his 82nd birthday.
Born in Alberta, he came to Pullman from Canada in 1945 and worked for the Washington State University Dairy Department 20 years, retiring in 1969.
He had been active with his church and had been a Boy Scout leader.
Mr. Woodward and his wife, Gladise (Marler) Woodward, would have celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary Sunday.
Survivors include his wife; two sons, Ross Woodward of Spokane and Gordon Woodward of Santa Cruz, Calif.; one daughter, Joene Olsen of Coeur d'Alene; one brother; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
