Rachel Ellen Woods was a daughter of A. Woods (born in Scotland) and Rachel Haynes (born in Ohio). She married at least twice. First to Henry Swain Hirons on 9/29/1866 in Pike Co, IL. He was born 5/3/1839 Highland Co, OH. Her other known husband was David Logan Foreman.

They married on 1/2/1912 in Vernon, Yuma Co, CO, and within a year Rachel persuaded David to move with her back to her former home in Oregon state. After David's death Rachel may have remarried to a Henry Foreman, but any relation to David is not known. David had a son Henry, but he never lived in Oregon.
