"Mary Ann Woodruff Brown, wife of Hezekiah Brown, who died at her home in Evart Township, Jan 27, 1894, was born in Livingston county, New York, Dec 12, 1825, where her early girlhood was spent, She was married to Hezekiah Brown, Oct 20, 1852 at Pittsford, New York. Settling in McComb Co (IL?) about 1862, where she resided untill the spring of 1872, when she came to Evart, being among the pioneers of the village. Besides her husband who survives her she left 5 children, Bruce of Saginaw: Edward and Ella of Evart; Mrs. W.J. Gaunt of Delta, Calif; and Mrs. Carrie D. Scribuer of Rumsey, Montana; of the children, all except Mrs. Gaunt were at home at her death. Age 69 years."
