BARKLEY, Marjorie L. Peacefully at St. Mary's of the Lake Hospital, surrounded by the love of her family, on Friday, September 11, 2009. Marjorie Barkley (nee Wood), beloved wife of Garnet, who predeceased her in 2003. Dear mother of Judy Kingston and her husband Bruce , of Stirling, Brian and his wife Bernadette ,of Calgary and Janet Desrosiers and her husband Larry, of Harrowsmith. Proud grandmother of 9 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Dear sister of Bert, of Chesterville, Donald, of Seeley's Bay, Earl, of Morrisburg, Gary, of Toronto, Linda Casselman of Morrisburg, Paul, of Winchester. Predeceased by her sister Evelyn. In keeping with the family's wishes, cremation has taken place. A service in celebration of Marjorie's life will be held in the chapel of the JAMES REID FUNERAL HOME , 1900 John Counter Boulevard, ( on what would have been her 82nd birthday), Thursday, September 17, at 11:00 am., The Reverend William Whiston officiating. The family will receive friends on Thursday, prior to the service, from 9 am until 10:45 am. A reception will be held in the James Reid Reception Centre following the service. Interment Harrowsmith Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations made to U.H.K.F (Cancer Centre of Southeastern Ontario, or St. Mary's of the Lake Palliative Care), would be appreciated by the family.
