RALEIGH - Mrs. Pearl Wolfe Booth, 87, of Raleigh formerly of Gastonia, died Friday, March 5, 2010, at Wake Medical Center.

Born in Rock Hill, S.C., she was the daughter of the late Robert Stephen Wolfe and Pearl Stevens Wolfe.

Mrs. Booth was a proud graduate of Lowell High School, Class of 1940. She was a retired weaver with Burlington Industries and a longtime member of Cramer Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was active with the United Methodist Women. Mrs. Booth was also active with the Gastonia Hobby Club.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Booth was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Joseph Paul Booth Sr., and a daugh-ter, Kay Booth Bedgood.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Joseph Booth Jr. and Patsy Booth of Raleigh; grandchildren and their spouses, Joseph Booth III and Shelly Booth of Greensboro, and Jennifer Booth Lee and Donovan Lee of Wake Forest; and great-grandchildren, Michael Booth of Greensboro and Brandon Lee and Rachel Lee, both of Wake Forest.

The funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Cramer Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Elise Kennedy officiating.

Burial will follow at Gaston Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
