She was born in Ephrata to the late Leroy and Bessie (Shiffer) Wolf and was the wife of the late George H. Bowman.
Helen graduated from Ephrata High School and Rider University. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Ephrata, and had been the church secretary until her retirement. She had been an avid bowler and enjoyed Wii-Bowling in the past few years. She also enjoyed playing cards, especially pinochle.
Helen is survived by son, Robert, husband of Rita Bowman; daughter, Georgene, wife of Robert Schall; grandson, Brandon, husband of Vanessa Bowman; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her 4 siblings, Betty (Wolf) Callihan, Robert Wolf, Clara (Wolf) Rudy and Gladys (Wolf) Grube.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, February 29, 2016, 11 am at the Stradling Funeral Home, 201 Church Ave., Ephrata, with Pastor Walter Carter officiating. Interment will take place in the Memory Gardens Memorial Cemetery.
