Janet A. Witwer, 74, of Palmyra passed away Thursday, February 6, 2014 at the Good Samaritan Hospital, Lebanon.
Born December 21, 1939 in Brooklyn, New York she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Virginia Vroom.
She was a member of St Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, Hummelstown, and their choir, Farm Women, Lebanon Valley College Pool, Red Hat Society, Breast Cancer Coalition, Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and the American Heart Association.
Surviving are her husband Ronald J. Witwer; children Jeanette Woodward of Bear, Delaware, Edward, husband of Shari Knutsen of New London, North Carolina, Erik, husband of Colleen Knutsen of Palmyra and Julie Knutsen of Palmyra; brother Fred, husband of Arlene Vroom of Long Island, New York; grandchildren Robert, husband of Georgia Woodward, Joshua Copenhaver, Melissa Knutsen, Hailey Knutsen and Michael Knutsen.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, February 22, 2014 at St. Paul Evangelical Lutheran Church, 850 Hill Church Road, Hummelstown, preceded by a visitation beginning at 10:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 1019 Mumma Road, Wormleysburg, PA 17043 or to Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, 2405 Park Drive, Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110.
