South Bend Tribune, Sat. July 30, 1892:
"Death of Charles Stover Witwer
Charles Stover Witwer, only child of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin C. Witwer, of south Michigan street, died Sunday night at 11:30 o'clock, after an illness of several days with flux. The little one, an exceptionally bright boy, was born December 21, 1891 [sic - 1890], and its death brings sadness not only directly to the Witwer and Stover homes, but to a vast circle of old and young friends in which the young parents move. The funeral occurred at the residence, Tuesday afternoon, at 5:30 o'clock, services by Elder H. M. Middleton, of Greencastle, Ind., formerly of this city. The pall bearers were Masters Warren Studebaker, Owen Williams, Fayette Bulla and John Myler. Interment in Bowman cemetery."

Charles was moved from Bowman Cemetery to Riverview cemetery on May 6, 1926.
