"Annabelle Boltz, active volunteer
Annabelle Witwer Boltz, 78, died Friday night at the Community Hospital of Lancaster after being ill several days.
She resided at A-405 Willow Valley Lakes Drive, Willow Street.
Formerly of Ephrata and Akron, she was the wife of the late Mark L. Boltz, who died on October 26, 1990.
Born in Gouglersville, Berks County, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Lillian Grill Witwer.
She graduated from Ephrata high School in 1938.
A homemaker, she was very active in the community.
She was a member and elder of the Willow Street United Church of Christ, a member and past worthy matron of Cloister Chapter 406 Order Eastern Star, a member and past mother adviser of International Order of Rainbow Girls, and was a member of the Women's Society No. 22.
In addition, she was incolved in the Minyah Court of the White Shrine, Reading, the Akron Women's Club, Post 429 American Legion Auxiliary, Ephrata, and was formerly a Girl Scout leader and a den mother of Cub Scouts.
Surviving are two sons, Ronald M., husband of Joan Gilardone Boltz, Akron; and Kenneth R., Husband of Elaine F. Gehman Boltz, Lititz; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; a brother, Donald R., husband of Mildred Garrett Witwer, Ephrata; and several nieces and nephews."
